The City of St. Peters was the region’s first municipal government to advance through the ranks and receive top honors for high score in the St. Louis Green Business Challenge.

The St. Louis Green Business Challenge is a program to support integration of sustainability measures into everyday operations. Since its inception in 2010, 194 companies, representing more than 150,000 employees have participated and are recognized with Awards of Achievement.

  • 2012: Apprentice Level: Award of Merit (greatest point gain) and Circle of Excellence.
  • 2013: Apprentice Level: Award of Merit (greatest point gain) and Star Circle of Excellence.
  • 2014: Leader Level: Circle of Excellence.
  • 2015: Champion Level: Circle of Excellence.
  • 2016: Champion Level: Award of Merit (top point total) and Star Circle of Excellence.
  • 2017: Champion Level: Star Circle of Excellence.

St. Peters is proud of its proactive approach to tackling the challenging subjects of sustainability and climate change not only through actions but also the exchange of expertise and resources with communities both locally and nationwide.
